The regular menu coupled
with daily specials create a vast assortment of
entrees offered at Marco Polo Restaurant and
Tavern, located at 527 Morris Ave., "We
serve everything from steak and seafood to veal
and pasta" is how general manager Agapios
Kyritsis describes the menu. A popular
meat entree is veal alla polo, which combines
sautéed veal scaloppini with creamy veal sauce,
grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers and
mozzarella cheese.
Another favorite dish is
Marco Polo's famous Italian wedding soup, with
tiny meatballs, egg pasta and fresh vegetables
in the chef's homemade chicken broth. The
restaurant can accommodate up to 400 people.
There are two dining rooms, "one more
casual and the other, a little more
formal," Kyritsis says. "We
cater to all age groups, and we're very
family-oriented".
"Take
voyage of discovery to Marco Polo"
"...the regular menu coupled with the
restaurant's daily specials adds up to an
assortment of entrees so vast, the hungry
customer is sure to discover something which
satisfies."
"Prices at the Marco Polo are reasonable,
especially when one considers the generous
portions."
"...the most important reason to make a
visit to this Summit eatery is its consistency
of quality, ensured by an attentive family who
have owned and operated their establishment for
more than 32 years."
